Community Gardening and Food Pickup (Copy)
Every Wednesday, at the Forest Avenue Outreach orchard and garden, the community is invited to join garden manager Lindsey Coyne for planting, maintenance and harvest of the produce from 5-7 PM. Everyone is welcome, especially kids!
Lindsey enjoys being outside, fresh local food and teaching.
We are active in building community and recognize that working together is, in so many ways, better than working alone. We openly share our knowledge and would love to learn from others who may know different, even better, ways to garden!
FOA orchard consists of many fruit trees, thornless berry brambles and aronia, with a peach tree being planted this year. The community gardens are full of vegetables and herbs and there is something available to eat from early to late in the growing season.
We ask that you attend during community gardening hours for harvests and do NOT harvest during other times, so we can keep track of the food we are producing and donating. Additional Community Gardening hours on Mondays 9-11 AM. Or contact Lindsey Coyne to set up other arrangements.
